Speaking about his win, he said, "I didn’t expect to win the senior competition! I love cricket and thought it would make a great subject for a photo. I took it in my garden after lots of attempts—using just an iPhone!"
Now looking forward to the upcoming cricket season, Riley is keen to continue honing his photography skills, "Winning this gives me confidence. I’ve always enjoyed photography and love capturing moments that stand out."
Veer’s second-place entry was inspired by a trip to the Netherlands, where he was captivated by a vibrant field of tulips.
"We were heading there when I saw a sea of tulips - I had to capture it! You don’t see colours like that every day in Scotland, so it feels great to have placed second."
