On Sunday, 17th November 2024, Strathallan School hosted its annual Team and Individual Show Jumping competition at Highfield at Howe Equestrian Centre in Fife. The event unfolded on a crisp, icy morning, with nearly 200 rounds of show jumping taking place throughout the day.
Riders from numerous schools and riding clubs participated, showcasing remarkable skill and sportsmanship. Strathallan’s own riders were out in force, delivering enthusiastic and expert performances that resulted in outstanding achievements. Strathallan School secured two team trophies in Classes 1 and 3, alongside second-place team finishes in Classes 2 and 4. Several individual riders also achieved notable awards, adding to the day’s success.
Special thanks go to Tom Myles and his team at Howe for their flawless organisation, Callum Glasgow for his impressive course design, and Jane Calder for her superb judging and commentary, all of which ensured the competition ran smoothly and on time.
