Murray, who has been playing rugby since he was three, said it was a massive honour to be called up to the national panel.
“The Youth Panel discusses youth rugby and come up with creative ideas to help change the game in Scotland. I’d love to see more people enjoying the sport, whether that’s playing or refereeing, there really is something for everyone in the sport.”
Since joining Strathallan this year, Murray has gone on to Captain his Regional U18 team, played for the Glasgow Warriors Academy U18 side, and helped lead the school’s first-ever campaign at St Joseph’s College National Rugby Schools Festival.
Andrew Henderson, Director of Strathallan Rugby Academy, said, “Murray’s passion for the sport comes through in his performances. He is a great leader and team player. We wish Murray and all the Youth Panel all the best as they help make important decisions for the future of the game.”
Meet the whole Youth Panel.
