More than 25 children between the ages of 8-11 years old travelled from across Scotland and even England to take part in the Perthshire school's week-long camp.
Developing physical, mental and social skills the children were taught in socially distanced bubbles across the schools 153-acre grounds. They also received professional-level coaching in sports and games including hockey, rugby, athletics, football, cricket and the kids favourite, capture the flag.
Surina Curley, aged 10 from Luncarty said, "This week has been so much fun. I've made three great friends who I want to keep in touch with and I really enjoyed learning to play hockey from Ms Wardlaw.”
Jim Thompson, Director of Sport at Strathallan School, said, “It was a hugely enjoyable and rewarding week. For the last four years, I helped run the Strathallan Rugby camps. So when our sports camps were postponed due to Covid-19 we thought about other ways we could help parents and their children get back into the rhythm of being around each other and enjoy doing sport together again, before school starts."
"It has been such a privilege to have pupils from lots of different schools on campus, learning new skills and playing together across a number of sports. Strathallan is based in a beautiful part of Scotland and it is thanks to our extensive facilities that we've been able to host these fantastic kids."
Strathallan is working towards a full return for more than 520 boarding and day pupils, with appropriate contingencies in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of its pupils, parents and staff.
