Strathallan School students selected for Scottish Junior Swimming Squad

Strathallan swimmers Evan D and Finlay B have been selected for the Scottish Junior Swimming Squad after an impressive summer of international competitions.

As members of the Strathallan Swimming Academy Performance Squad, the two students train six days a week at Strathallan and compete for Perth City Swim Club at competitions across the country. They shared their excitement about being selected for Scotland.

Finlay B

Finlay, reflecting on his first selection, said, "I'm absolutely delighted to be in the Scottish Junior Team. It is a huge step up from last year and it is great to see my hard work paying off!"

Looking ahead, Finlay added, "My goal is to qualify for Geneva by the end of the year."

Evan D

Evan, who has been reselected for the Scottish Junior squad for the fourth time, shared, "It's fantastic to be part of the junior team again, especially in my last year as a junior. My focus this season is to enjoy it more, and I'm aiming for the European and World Juniors at the end of the season."

Elaine Johnston, Director of Strathallan Swimming Academy, expressed her pride, saying, "We're absolutely thrilled to see Finlay called up to join Evan in the Scotland squad. It's a fantastic achievement for both of them."
