Reflecting on the team’s success, Director of Netball, Louisa Walker, praised their commitment, “This was a resilient performance from a team that had worked incredibly hard in preparation for the tournament. We set out with a clear goal to retain the title, and I’m absolutely delighted that the girls were able to achieve this.”
MVP Lily T also shared her thoughts on the victory, “I’m really proud that the girls and I were able to win the Independent Schools Tournament for the third year in a row and retain our title. Winning the final against RGS was an especially exciting moment for the team after having lost to them at the beginning of the tournament. It was definitely as much of a mental battle as it was physical to keep the girls’ heads up and stay positive. I feel really honoured to have been named Best Shooter and Most Valuable Player – it was the highlight of my season so far.”
