Communication consent form

Dear Strathallian,

As you may be aware, the current Data Protection Act will be replaced on 25th May by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This will make changes to the rules which Strathallan (and everyone else) must follow, when processing personal data.

In order for us to communicate with you, on any subject at all, we need you to tell us we can do so. If we do not have your active consent then we will not be able to get in touch with you.

Strathallian Communication Consent

    Strathallian communications include but are not exclusive to: Invitations to alumni and School events; Publications (eg alumni magazine and updates about the School); Invitations to take part in surveys eg event feedback, alumni surveys; The promotion of other opportunities and services available to me (eg StrathConnect, offers and opportunities available through the Shcool's network of alumni groups); Details of volunteering opportunities eg give talks at School, be an Alumni Rep, provide Careers Advice.
    School Development Communications include but are not exclusive to: Invitations to fundraising events, eg Balls, dinners, reunions; News about the School's development plans eg bursaries, capital projects, new initiatives; Tailored proposals, appeals and fundraising information; research on when and whether particular donations or funding appeals may be of interest to you.

By agreeing to receive any of the above communications you agree to your data being processed for the necessary and relevant administrative and research purposes eg.

  • internal record keeping, including the management of any feedback or complaints
  • administrative purposes (eg in order to process a donation you have made or to administer an event you have registered for or attended
  • wealth analysis and research in order to improve our understanding of our alumni and supporters, inform our fundraising strategy and direct our communications more effectively eg identifying the fundraising potential before embarking on a capital project.
