Creative and performing arts workshops and open afternoon

Saturday June 16th, 3pm to 5.30pm

Strathallan School is alive with music, drama, dance and art. As well as exceptional and inspiring staff our facilities are great too. We have a brand new dance studio, a purpose built multi-media art block, a piping hut and a black box theatre and we are investing further in our music production facilities.  We hold art exhibitions, perform informal and formal concerts and shows, stage drama, dance and musical theatre productions and are invited to perform around the world.  At Strathallan every pupil has a multitude of opportunities to discover their own talents and interests.

So if you are considering a school where creativity is thriving, why not come along to our Creative and Performing Arts Open Afternoon and experience a little of what our pupils enjoy for yourself?

Workshops – for ages 7 to 15

Mad about music? Daft about drama? Dizzy for dance? Appetite for art?

Taking part in a workshop is a great way to try something new, be inspired by our great teachers and find out why Strathallan is such an exciting place to be if you love the arts. You might even make a friend or two. No experience is needed.

Each workshop lasts 40 minutes and you can choose up to two from:

  • Creative clay – Get your hands dirty and put your imagination to the test to see what amazing things you can create with clay
  • Fun with drums – Explore your sense of rhythm and discover new sounds with this fun drumming workshop
  • Step up and dance  – Try out contemporary jazz dance to a great music track
  • Let loose with drama – Journey through a story using the awesome  power of  improvisation!

For Mums and Dads, Grannies and Grandpas

While your children are busy being creative, come and meet our pupils and parents and find out how the creative and performing arts are centre stage at Strathallan. Take a tour of the school and a peek at the workshops in action and finish off with afternoon tea and a chance to chat with the workshop leaders.

This is designed to be an informal afternoon and everyone is welcome. If you have any questions please contact Suzie MacKenzie on 01738 812546 or
